Medellín Street Food Tour
Street Food Tour of Medellín
When making your reservation, you can choose one of the following tours, depending on which area of Medellín you’d prefer to explore:
Envigado Tour
This food tour will begin at El Dorado Park in San Andrésito, Envigado, known as the “Colombian Monaco.”
First, we’ll explore the Main Park, where we’ll sample some Santarrosan chorizos. Next, at our second stop, we’ll treat ourselves to a buñuelo and an empanada. Between bites, during each break, we’ll learn about Medellín’s history and the connection between its signature dishes and Colombian cuisine.
We’ll continue the tour through the Envigado area by sampling a pan de bono, followed by a mango biche drink. Next, we’ll head to Pájaro Loco, a typical Envigado bar, to enjoy a beer. Afterward, we’ll try a delicious plantain with aborrajado cheese.
The final stop will be at the House of Philosopher Fernando González Ochoa, where we’ll learn about the life and work of this important thinker from Envigado.
Ayacucho Tour
If you choose this option, we’ll meet in front of the San José de Ayacucho church.
We’ll make our first stop to enjoy buñuelos and empanadas. Afterward, we’ll continue exploring the Ayacucho area to try a Boyacá-style arepa and a corn arepa, a true Colombian classic. We’ll also discuss Medellín’s cuisine and the city’s history.
The tour will continue to a local bar, where we’ll enjoy a cold beer, and then we’ll take a ride on the Metrocable to one last spot in the neighborhood, where we’ll try some chorizo or chuzo.
